Contemporary flower shop with fresh view takes root on Highway174. Burleson, TX- Blossoms on the Boulevard is a bright spot on Highway 174 between Burleson and Joshua and one of the latest and most unique additions to the Burleson community. Inspired by long-time residents, Ted and Andrea Ruby, the charming new apple green flower shop features exquisite European floral designs and a selection of distinctive gift and bath items. A fresh view. “We want people to see how different our flowers are,” says owner/manager Andrea Ruby. Blossoms on the Boulevard’s open concept allows customers to watch floral designs as they are being created; the colorfully decorated interior also invites customers to comfortably collaborate about a special event or simply to enjoy shopping. Currently, the shop’s products include: Me! Bath accessories, Balloons and Plush items, Circle E and Thymes Lluminaria candles and a selection of wonderfully unique baby gifts. More than fabulous flowers. Full and creative service is the mission at Blossoms on the Boulevard. And experienced, friendly and helpful designers skilled in the European fashion, gorgeous flowers, myriads of fun and distinctive containers for all occasions, local to worldwide delivery and dedication to customer satisfaction are all elements of the mission. “Our family is part of this community,” says Andrea Ruby. “We have been active in its growth and our goal is to continue. Flowers and gifts are ways to celebrate occasions and provide comfort. We want to be there for special events like weddings, parties and babies, for corporate occasions and for all the times when the message of flowers is important.” Well-rooted. Prior to Blossoms on the Boulevard opening its cherry-red doors, the business was already rooted in the community. Thanks to the Ruby’s vision, what was a 100-year-old white farmhouse formerly known as Edie’s Antiques is now a charming and cheerful shop fronted by a small pond, running fountain and beautiful old trees. The elliptical and delightful sign mounted on the shop’s new tin roof was hand-made by Ted Ruby. The Ruby’s are 1989 and 1991 alumni of Burleson High School and current members of the Burleson Chamber of Commerce. Active in the business community for the past 17 years, Ted Ruby is owner of Dependable Lawn Care, Inc. For eight years, Andrea Ruby was a professional in Fort Worth’s Advertising industry and for the past three years, has taught at Burleson’s First Baptist Church. She is also a granddaughter of famed Western Swing creator Bob Wills. The Ruby’s have two daughters; Grace Marie attends Nola Dunn Elementary School and Kirsten Diane is in pre-school.
